Objectives of the Course
In England, responsibility for careers guidance for young people has been transferred to individual schools. Careers leadership involved planning, implementing and quality assuring a careers strategy for the school; managing the delivery of careers education; networking with external partners; coordinating the contributions of careers teachers, subject teachers and SENCO.
This programme starts by providing an overview of current careers policy set by the Government and discusses the changing context of careers for students. We will then examine our current practice and look in detail at useful tools and resources that can help us have the most impact on our students.
